Bijoux Bazaar

I am always one to be enticed by a statement necklace or earrings, and new online jewellery retailer, Bijoux Bazaar, is happily funding my addiction!

This exclusive new site offers stunning necklaces, earrings and bracelets but at a bargain price - the perfect combination.
I have already raided the bank balance and purchased 3 lovely items:

Manhattan Necklace - £26.00

Shoreditch Green Earrings - £14.00

Brooklyn Necklace - £18.00

Ideal for Christmas (as a gift to yourself or others if you're feeling generous) and can instantly add glamour to any outfit...Where can you go wrong?!
I also have future intentions (in January when the next student loan instalment comes in) to add these three to my collection.

Fulham Necklace - £18.00

Hoxton Blush - £12.00

Belgravia Necklace - £24.00

Classic and affordable, I feel I have made a new friend for life.

Rihanna for River Island

There are only 2 days left until Rihanna fans will go in to a frenzy and the River Island website will most likely receive the most visitors it has ever had within a single minute and crash before anyone even gets chance to view the new collection.
I must say I am quite surprised at how tame the collection has looked so far from what I have seen. I was expecting there to be a lot of latex and some barely-there-may-as-well-not-be-wearing hot pants, but no it all seems relatively presentable.
When I first heard that Rihanna was collaborating with River Island I was skeptical to say the least but the collection actually seems to have found the right balance between being conservative while still having that sex appeal that we all love RiRi for.
Inspired by the 90's, I may be attempting to buy a couple of these items... a couple I must reinstate, some of them are well... judge for yourself!

Is this two pairs of jeans or just the one?! I can't quite work it out but double denim is always a disaster in my eyes.

Is Baywatch back in?

I will definitely be trying to get my hands on one of these dipped hem dresses, perfect for summer.

There are no words.

This floral print will undoubtedly be a popular choice. I do hope that these heeled sandals will be included in the collection too.

Please tell me someone that will buy thigh high lace up boots who isn't wanting to look like a prostitute. Don't think this will be their best seller...

RiRi herself went for a simple LBD and looked gorgeous as usual when she came out after the show at London Fashion Week.
I would say that I'm disappointed but if I'm being honest it is slightly better than I expected! We will find out in less than 48 hours though whether this will be a triumph or an absolute disaster, at this point I would say it could go either way.
If it is the latter, Rihanna's cover on Elle next month will surely redeem her, the sneak preview below shows her looking extra beautiful donning a new pixie crop.

The Short Suit

I am always one for a statement pair of shorts and it seems that the hottest look for Spring is the beautifully tailored short suit which I am thrilled to see rather than another Summer of trying to make sports luxe look flattering!
Perhaps not one that you can wear out just yet as the weather is still as dreary and dull as ever (I even saw snow once again in London last week) but it is definitely an investment look that will keep you looking effortlessly chic all summer long.
I first spotted the short suit in Reiss and in the colour of the season, electric blue, I instantly fell in love.

//Jacket// Reiss // £189.00
// Shorts // Reiss // £85.00

This look is easy to dress down or wear with a pair of heels for an evening lounging in the sun. Oh if only I had a spare £274 lying around, the hardship of being a student.
Second on my list is a lovely little pairing from Topshop.

//Jacket// Topshop // £55
//Shorts// Topshop// £35

I am usually quite adverse to bright floral prints so this neutral black and cream is perfect for a safer option with this trend.
Another of my favourites from Topshop is this Jacquard printed trouser suit, again in my colour lust of the season.

//Jacket// Topshop// £55
//Cigarette Trousers// Topshop// £40

Not a short suit, I know, but when I spotted this in Oxford Circus it instantly stood out to me and Jacquard print is a personal favourite of mine this season.
There is also some excellent designer fashspiration for this trend from 3.1 Phillip Lim and Sandro Paris.

There is also no reason that you can't mix and match with this trend, making it even more versatile as demonstrated by Zara.

//Jacket// Zara// £69.99
//Shorts// Zara// £39.99

I love the slightly unconventional middle eastern vibe of this Jacquard pattern crossover blazer paired with these embroided beaded shorts.
The best part of this androgynous trend is the fact that these pieces can be worn together or separately so it is an all around investment which, when you're a student like me and constantly in your overdraft, is the only justification when you're trying to maintain a shopping addiction!
